JUMA

Local Food. Global Taste.

/dʒu·mə/

Juma is a farm-to-fork food truck operating in Victoria, B.C. bringing to life global flavours from local produce. Juma’s seasonal menu cycles through the bounty of fruits and vegetables, locally grown right here, on Vancouver Island. We also guarantee that 100% of the lamb, pork and chicken appearing on the menu is pasture-raised on our very own family farm in Saanich. We also grow and use as many fruits and vegetables from our farm as possible. If you want to eat amazing food, support local farming/agriculture and be more aware of where your food comes from, then look no further!

The Food

Here at Juma, when we say local, we mean local. We take huge lengths to ensure that the food we serve is nourishing and that its source is transparent - we love it when you ask us questions about where your food is coming from! More than ensuring the quality of the ingredients, we also strive to offer vibrant and flavourful comfort food from around the world. Our menu changes weekly and draws flavour-profile inspiration from all over the globe.

The Farm

Sayward Farm is a 3.5 acre mixed farm just off the Lochside Trail at the northern border of Saanich. With as few gasoline powered machines as possible, Jim and Jan Pine tend 75 fruit and nut trees, blueberries, a .2 acre garden as well as pastures for sheep, pigs, turkeys, chickens and ducks. All the apple cider served from Juma is made from Sayward Farm apples. Food scraps from Juma are cycled back into the farm as feed for the pigs and chickens used in Juma's menu as a way of harmonizing the relationship between food truck and farm.
